The prodigious 2001 Cirsion appears to be a legend in the making. Aromas of espresso roast, new saddle leather, creme de cassis, cherries, and raspberries soar from the glass of this aromatic Spanish red. Full-bodied with that extra layer of concentration and extract that great vintages seem to provide, it exhibits nearly perfect integration of acidity, wood, tannin and alcohol. It's an incredible effort in a great vintage for Rioja. Anticipated maturity: 2007 - 2017+.
